Marco Mizzau (Rome, 27 December 1977) is Chairman of Blacktrace and Founder of Mizzau & Partners.  

He advises private equity funds, institutional investors, boards of directors and management teams on investment strategy, growth, industrial transformation and value creation.

Throughout his career, Mizzau has led complex organisations, institutional platforms and transformation programmes across financial services, infrastructure, technology, healthcare and industry. 

In 2023, Mr. Mizzau was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Consip, the national digital procurement platform owned by the Italian Ministry of Economy and Finance. During his tenure, Consip completed the digital transformation of public procurement two years ahead of national recovery plan targets, generating more than €4 billion in public sector savings and strengthening its position as a European benchmark for digital procurement and public contracting.

From 2019 to 2023, Mr. Mizzau served as Director General of Inarcassa, one of Italy’s largest institutional investors, where he led the 2021–2025 Industrial Plan, the institution’s first ESG Strategy, the Digital Transformation Plan and the expansion of private market investment strategies.

From 2012 to 2019, he served as Chief Operating Officer of Campus Bio-Medico University Hospital in Rome, contributing to the operational, infrastructure and digital transformation of one of Italy’s leading private healthcare, biomedical research and university ecosystems.

Earlier in his career, Mr. Mizzau spent almost a decade with KPMG Consulting, Ernst & Young and Accenture, where he became Senior Manager and led strategic, financial and digital transformation programmes for leading industrial and energy groups across Europe, Turkey, Russia and the Middle East.

He began his career with Ferrovie dello Stato Italiane, contributing to strategic planning and organisational transformation initiatives.
