Marco Mizzau is a Chairman & CEO operating at the intersection of Private Equity, Artificial Intelligence, and institutional-scale transformation.

Over a 26-year career across finance, healthcare, infrastructure, industrials, public administration, and technology platforms, he is recognized for architecting scalable systems, driving strategic clarity, and reshaping complex organizations under pressure.

He has led national institutions, global industrial platforms, and private equity-backed companies through accelerated growth, digital reinvention, cross-border expansion, and large-scale organizational restructuring. His track record spans Europe, the Middle East, and emerging markets, consistently delivering rapid value creation, system-level transformation, and high-stakes leadership under extreme complexity.

Marco graduated with honors from LUISS University and completed advanced executive programs at Wharton, INSEAD, IESE, Bocconi, MIT, and Harvard Business School.

As Chairman & CEO, Mr. Mizzau supports global corporations, sovereign and institutional investors, and private-equity platforms in initiatives that reshape industries and accelerate long-term value creation. His work includes the design and execution of complex M&A strategies, the scaling of industrial and healthcare platforms, cross-border expansion programs, and the integration of advanced technology — including AI-driven operating models — to strengthen competitiveness and institutional resilience.

Mr. Mizzau served as the Chief Executive Officer of Consip, the largest and most important Central Purchasing Body in Italy. Under his leadership, the company achieved the PNRR (National Recovery and Resilience Plan) goal of full digitalization, transparency, and sustainability of the procurement cycle two years ahead of schedule. During his tenure, Consip took on a strategic role for the country, becoming a key lever for industrial policy, a tool for public finance management, and an enabler of the national spending review. Thanks in part to the consolidation of 21 institutional agreements, Consip reached an annual procurement volume of €27.2 billion (equal to 1.8% of Italy’s GDP), effectively becoming the “Amazon of Public Administration” and generating €4 billion in savings for the state budget.

Previuosly, Mr. Mizzau served as Chief Executive Officer of InarCassa, one of the most influential Italian institutional investors and private pension funds. In just two years, he steered the organization to €14 billion in assets, €1.5 billion in revenues, and a contributor base of over 200,000 professionals. Under his leadership, the institution delivered outstanding financial and operational results, championing strategic, long-term investments in the real economy and private markets. He defined and launched the 2020–2025 Industrial Plan, the Digital Transformation Strategy, and the 2022–2026 Cybersecurity Plan, all while rebuilding a transparent and constructive relationship with Trade Unions—a rare blend of innovation and inclusion in public finance.

Back in 2012, Mr. Mizzau joined Campus Bio-Medico University Hospital Holding, where he served until 2019 as Chief Operating Officer. There, he transformed the group into a national leader in Healthcare, Real Estate, and Higher Education—combining mission and margin to generate long-term sustainable returns for stakeholders. He led feasibility studies for the development of key infrastructure: a new ER facility, a nursing home, a long-term care center, and a hospice. He also implemented cutting-edge energy efficiency solutions (including LED systems, a trigenerator, and integrated BMS platforms) that slashed operational costs by 60% over five years, while optimizing personnel, goods, and services by €12 million—a case study in operational excellence.

Mr. Mizzau worked at Accenture, helping build the Finance & Performance Management practice across Italy, Greece, Turkey, and the Middle East. He led complex finance transformation programs for top-tier executives at global corporations like Eni, Enel, Acea, Electrabel, Italcementi, and major infrastructure groups. His methodologies were later scaled to international industrial giants such as Endesa, ARAMCO, KPC, KNPC, PIC, ENROC, and ADNOC—bringing Italian consulting innovation to the global stage.

Previuosly, Mr. Mizzau worked at Ernst & Young Financial Business Advisory, where he helped grow the Transportation Practice across Italy and Europe. He advised CEOs and CFOs of Poste Italiane, Ansaldo, Finmeccanica, national airports, and Alitalia on industrial plans, restructuring programs, due diligence projects, and market-entry strategies—contributing to the transformation of national champions.

In 2000, Mr. Mizzau joined the Holding of the Italian Railway Group—the nation’s most strategic infrastructure player—as CEO Staff, where he was directly involved in industrial planning and the landmark privatization process of the Group.

Even before completing his degree, in 1999, Mr. Mizzau started his career as a Financial Analyst at KPMG Consulting, developing business plans for key industrial conglomerates and setting the foundation for a career dedicated to building value across sectors.

Marco Mizzau earned his economics degree with honors, specializing in finance, at the age of 22 from LUISS “Guido Carli” University in Rome.

He later completed executive education programs at St. Charles School of Business (Chicago), IESE, Wharton, INSEAD, SDA Bocconi, and Harvard Business School—affirming a lifelong commitment to learning, leadership, and global thinking.

Manifesto

What if success wasn’t just about strategy, but about state of mind?

In a world driven by speed, noise, and comparison, we often forget the most powerful investment we can make: ourselves.

These reflections are not lessons—they are reminders.
Not prescriptions—but provocations.

Written across years of leadership, crisis, and reinvention, each piece invites you to think deeper, act bolder, and live more intentionally.

This is not about motivation.
This is about awakening.

Whether you’re a founder, executive, artist or simply a human being navigating life—may these words serve as a mirror, a spark, or a seed.

Because before you can lead others, you must lead yourself.
